Our friends at Topps, the leading producer of all types of trading cards including those for Club Penguin, sent us a box full of their brand new Card Jitsu trading cards to check out (36 packs in all)! These new packs of cards have all of the regular cards plus one foil card, one sticker card, one code card, and if you are lucky... the rare golden card (more on that in a minute). Here is what the single and double packs look like:
Card Jitsu Single Pack
Card Jitsu Double Pack
The single pack of Card Jitsu cards contains 8 cards plus a code card and sticker sheet. The double pack of Card Jitsu cards contains 16 cards plus two code cards, two sticker sheets, and a bonus popup ninja penguin. There are a total of 80 cards and stickers to collect. Here is what one of the cards looks like (it's the Rockhopper card which is our favorite Club Penguin, penguin!):

Here's what the bonus ninja popup penguin looks like (only available in the double pack):
Card Jitsu Popup Penguin
If you fold the bonus penguin the right way, it stands on its own. The instructions to fold the card appear on the back. There are three different popup ninja penguins: one holding a snowball, one a water balloon, and another has a bottle of hot sauce.
There are two different types of code cards, a red and a blue one. Each card contains a code that you enter on the code page of Club Penguin. When you enter the code, you get more powerful cards that are different from any you've ever seen before! Of course, as you win, you'll also unlock exclusive items. The code cards also contain instructions on how to play and win Card Jitsu:

There is also a sticker sheet that you can use to decorate one of the cards in the pack. The sticker sheet looks like this:

A penguin card that you can customize might look like this (it'll say "Customize Your Penguin" on it):

When the penguin is customized, it could look like this:

Pretty cool, huh? :-)
As we mentioned earlier, some packs also contain a very exclusive golden card! The golden card is in only one out of every 18 packs, so they are pretty hard to get. The great thing about the golden card is that it lets you skip a level in becoming a ninja (if you are not one already). If you are already a ninja, it lets you get holographic cards which are the best cards ever! The golden card looks like this:

EDIT 10/04/09: We found the golden card above in one of our packs! Check out more pictures and details in the Card-Jitsu Golden Card article.
So are you going to go out and try your luck at getting a golden card? It's such an awesome card! Post below if you find one in your pack.
Also, check back for a bunch of code giveaways we will do for all of our loyal CPL fans in the upcoming weeks. We have lots of codes to give away!
So we are having a blast with the new Card Jitsu trading cards from Topps. They are very detailed and very high quality cards that will hold up well even with a lot of use. We're going to trade them with our friends! We'd like to thank Topps for the chance to tell you about our experience with their new Card Jitsu cards and hope you'll go out and buy some for yourself.
You can find out more about the trading cards directly on the Topps website. You can get to the Card Jitsu web page directly from the following link:
